Getting Your Blog Noticed

Dear Networker,

We all have blogs, mine is at various places. As a new blogger, I took my time yesterday researching online methods to promote my blog. I was stunned to come across millions of posts for this subject. I found out promotions can sometimes be fairly costly and some don’t even work.

So choose careful before you waste your time on something that doesn’t work. In brief here are some few ways I’ve that I think are excellent for new bloggers like me. Remember they are not guarantee to give you millions of readers in one day but will introduce your blog somehow to the world. Honestly if you are a new blogger or about to start, these are must read and try to work on it before your blog becoming "just another blog that no one will read".


The lists are for free methods and are not that complicated. I guess if you made it here you’ll probably concluded that these are either brilliant ideas or just one of those days I am lucky you have stumbling onto my blog. Okay enough said, here goes the list:-


1) Know your blog readers - it’s impossible to please everyone but instead you need to have a specific market.

2) Write the post with high quality - Try to write the post for at least 2000 words should not be any grammar or spell mistakes.

3) Social bookmarking - promoting selective links on a site like Digg or StumbleUpon.

4) Social messaging - Use twitter or facebook to promote your blog, see http://netmillionairesclub.ning.com


5) Newsletters - Email to your list about your latest post.

6) E-mail signatures add a link of your blog. Follow up posts – write a new post on your blog that picks up where your last one left off.

7) Internal links - add a section in your sidebars for latest post.

8) Use other blog comment and forum section - Leaving helpful and insightful comments on forums or other blogs.This can be great at driving traffic if your comment is genuine, relevant and sensitive to the discussion.

8) Pitching Other Bloggers - asking another blogger to consider linking to your post.

9) Join mybloglog.

10) Update your blog often with good relevant content.
